Quantum of Solace filled with celebs

These days celebrities usually get a two-for-one deal whenever they sign on to a movie (as long as that movie’s of the action genre, anyway). First they make the movie - and then, while they’re waiting for the movie to come out, they lend their voices to the video game version of the movie.

It used to be that other voice actors would do the job, but these days video game companies have been more and more strict about getting the proper actors into their digitized shoes. Such will be the case with the video game version of the new James Bond flick, Quantum of Solace, and its game of the same name.

All the major cast members will be reprising their roles, including even Eva Green as Vesper Lynd and Mads Mikkelsen as Le Chiffre from Casino Royale. Which is a bit surprising, considering both characters bit the dust in that movie.

And Mathieu Amalric?

Yes, of course he’ll be along too. What good is a game if its villain doesn’t show up for the casting call? Amalric will be reprising his role as Dominic Greene.

Princes William And Harry To Attend James Bond Film Premiere

Better be dressed to your best when Quantum of Solace comes out, Mathieu Amalric: the premiere is going to have more special guests than just your co-stars.

According to AllHeadlineNews.com the cast of the newest James Bond movie will be joined on premiere night (October 29) by Princes Harry and William. Whether the princes will be sitting with the cast members is unclear at this point, though given their special status it’s highly likely.

The proceeds of the event - which will be taking place at the Leicaster Square Odeon in London - will be going towards two charities designed to aid wounded serviceman and their families.

Munich

The critically acclaimed 2005 movie Munich required, among other things, a solid cast of European actors. So it’s only natural that Mathieu Amalric would get brought in, even if only in a secondary (but vitally important!) capacity.

Amalric plays the part of Louis, an informant who helps the Mossad team that is the film’s focus track down their assassination targets. He provides some of the most vital intel in the movie despite not appearing very often, leading the team to several of the targets successfully despite some initial misgivings (for example, he provides the team with a set of unpredictably-powerful explosives that nearly kill team leader Avner).

In the end he proves trustworthy, and helps the team locate and eliminate nine of the eleven men; but Avner loses his will to continue, and the mission ends with nine kills and two escapes.

Heartbeat Detector

Heartbeat Detector is a 2007 French film, originally titled La Question Humaine, starring Mathieu Amalric.

In it Amalric plays the part of a psychologist who works alongside human resources in a company that’s undergoing major restructuring. Not the most moral of men, he sleeps around on his girlfriend in the office building.

He is told by his superiors to look into the CEO’s background and analyze him to see if he’s fit for his job. The CEO discovers these probes, however, and reveals to the psychologist that the men sending him have Nazi backgrounds. With a bit more digging the psychologist learns that the CEO, too, has a Nazi background. And when blackmail letters start to arrive the psychologist must track down the source.

Heartbeat Detector was directed by Nicolas Klotz and runs 143 minutes long.

Bond pursues Mathieu Amalric’s Dominic Green at Siena’s Palio

It’s been rumoured that one of the backdrop scenes for the new Bond movie the Quantum Of Solace will be the exhilarating bareback Palio horse race in Siena, Italy. The race is held twice a year on July 2nd and August 16th and it’s been reported that the Quantum of Solace film crew were spotted at the August 16th race last year.

Speculation is rife about what the scene will include, but rumors have it that the Palio will serve as a backdrop to a chase scene on the Siena rooftops, which will see Daniel Craig’s Bond pursue Mathieu Amalric’s bond villian, Dominic Green.

The crew are currently filming at Lake Garda, which will conincide with 100 celebration of the birth of Bond creater Ian Fleming. An exhibition will arrive on April 10th which will celebrate the authors creation and life.

Nicolas Sarkozy: The Real Bond Villian

Mathieu Amalric has been borrowing some mannerisms from Nicolas Sarkozy to inculde in his Bond villian character, Dominic Green, for the upcoming Bond blockbuster, Quantum of Solace. Amalric states, “I’ve been taking details, the craziness of Sarkozy” adding that, “He’s the worst villain we’ve ever had. He’s really dangerous. In fact, he walks around thinking he’s in a Bond film.”

However, Sarkozy isn’t the only politician that Dominic Green will be mimicking, Amalric will be combining Sarkozy’s craziness with ”the smile of Tony Blair”. Truly terrifying stuff!!
